What is the LRC’s Weather Policy?

Does the LRC have a published Code of Conduct?

Players, coaches and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner.  The LRC encourages positive experiences for all participants. Unsportsmanlike behavior directed toward other players, teams, officials, coaches and fans will not be tolerated.  Continue reading the full Code of Conduct here.

How do LRC choose teams and coaches?

Team selection is to be done with equality for all players. The process will be in effect for all youth sports programs offered by the LRC. Read our full team selection guidelines here. 

What steps are in place to ensure safety?

The Louisburg Recreation Commission (LRC) enforces a strict background check policy.  All LRC staff, board members, volunteers and coaches 18 years of age and older must complete a background screening check prior to appointment.  There will be no cost to the applicant.  The LRC is covering the payment of the background check.  All volunteers must have a follow-up background check performed yearly. Does the LRC offer community sponsor any community donations?

The Louisburg Recreation Commission (LRC) is proud to support those organizations and programs in our community interested in a donation for their cause or fundraising event.

The LRC will donate a maximum of twelve (12) registrations per year. Please email your requests to Diana@LouisburgRec.com or mail to PO BOX 937 Louisburg, KS 66053

What is the LRC Registration Policy?

Participation fees are due at the time of registration.  The Louisburg Recreation Commission (LRC) reserves the right to cancel, combine or divide programs, change dates and times and make other revisions as deemed necessary.  In the event the LRC has to cancel a program due to low enrollment a refund will be granted to the participant.

If a program has met its maximum enrollment, patrons will have the opportunity to add a name to a Waiting List.  In the event of an opening, they will be contacted to fill the opening.

A full credit will be granted to those withdrawing from a program prior to the registration deadline.  A $25 processing fee will be applied to those withdrawing after the registration deadline and prior to the program starting.   No refunds after the games start.

A $15 fee will be charged for each returned check.

The LRC is designed to provide recreational opportunities for all members of the Louisburg Community regardless of their ability to pay.  If assistance is needed, please contact the LRC Director at 913-837-1910.
